Langley green mural project
Crawley Hospital - 2016
In 2016 Make Your Mark commissioned the artist Sinna1 to undertake a spray paint mural project for the gardens at Langley Green acute mental health hospital in Crawley, West Sussex.
“I have been touched by the impact of the process and the artwork on all those involved. People became more engaged in their environment and I could see the positive effect the process had on people’s mood. Each time the artist and I were on the wards there would be comments of support and an opportunity for a dialogue around something that wasn’t directly about people’s mental health. Each mural reflects the suggestions made by the service users from each ward and creates an environment with far more wellbeing potential than the plain green hoardings that have been transformed.”
