MONDAY 9TH NOVEMBER AT 11AM
Revealing images with Steve Macleod For Steve Macleod’s Make Your Mark project, he has led a series of workshops leading participants through making pinhole cameras and photograms. Steve has a great knowledge of all forms of photography with a special fascination for the most primitive and direct ways of making photographic images. |
|
Using nothing but milk cartons, foil and tape, attendees built cameras and took their own photos as well as making photograms too - a type of photo that doesn’t need a camera at all. For the festival, Steve will be developing some of those pictures live from his dark room and talking about his own approach to photography, you can watch the wonderful session above!

Mememhmmmn (My ears. My eyes. My hands. My Mouth. My nose). With Mark Titchner. Mark Titchner has collaborated with service users at Sussex NHS Partnership Trust to create his project Mememhmmmn (My ears. My eyes. My hands. My Mouth. My nose). |
|
Mark led a series of digital workshops that focused on the idea of self-portraiture and, in particular, how we experience the world through our senses. In each session participants were asked to make drawings of their ears, eyes, hands, mouth and noses and, to complement this, a short piece of writing that related to what they have drawn. The artworks created during these sessions have then been collated by Mark to create a collective self-portrait in the form of a printed publication. A digital version will be presented during the Make For Tomorrow Festival... Take a look at the finished artwork here.
