Hannah will show you how she approaches painting a landscape from a photograph. You will have a step by step guide of which colours to use, what elements to paint first, and how to structure the composition. MATERIALS LIST: • White heavy cartridge paper or card – size A4 • Masking tape (I use 36mm delicate surface Frog Tape) • Surface to tape paper to – either a table or a wooden board • Two water pots & plate or palette to mix paint on • Paper towels or kitchen roll • Round and flat brushes in a range of sizes – soft synthetic brushes are the most suitable. • Acrylic paint in a range of colours – suggestions: white, black, lemon yellow, yellow ochre, ultramarine blue, burnt umber, emerald green and cadmium red. • Photograph of a landscape for reference – I will supply a digital file that can be printed. |
